Terms of sale
Last updated 28 October 2026
These terms apply when you reserve, preorder or buy a watch on oconnorwatches.com. They’re written to be read: if anything is unclear, email us before you pay.
Who you’re buying from
The seller is O’Connor Watches LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company at 7 Longfellow Rd, Natick, MA 01760, USA. We run the business from Japan. You can reach us at oconnorwatches@gmail.com, on +1 508-233-0730 (US) or on +81 80-8096-9529 (Japan).
Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars. They don’t include shipping, which is shown at checkout. Unless checkout says otherwise, they don’t include import duties or taxes in your country either; see Shipping & duties.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. If your card is charged in another currency, your bank may add a conversion fee.
If we make an obvious pricing error, we’ll tell you before your order is accepted and you can choose whether to go ahead.
Reservation deposits
A reservation is a $50 USD deposit that holds your place in line before launch. It is not a purchase, and it doesn’t commit you to buying a watch.
- Refundable any time. Email us and we’ll refund the full $50 within 10 business days. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
- What it gets you. Before launch, we email reservation holders a private link to our lowest launch price, in the order reservations were made. That price is available in limited numbers and for a limited time, which we’ll state in the email.
- When you buy. If you back our Kickstarter campaign, we refund your $50 in full once your pledge has been collected. If you order on this website instead, we take the $50 off the price.
- If you don’t buy. Your deposit stays refundable on request. If we don’t launch, or cancel the Founder’s Edition, we refund every deposit automatically.
- A reservation can’t be transferred to someone else.
Preorders
When preorders open, you pay when you order, and your confirmation email gives an estimated dispatch date.
- You can cancel any time before your watch ships for a full refund, including any shipping and taxes we collected.
- If we can’t ship by the date we gave you, we’ll email you a new date and the option to cancel for a full refund. If the new date is more than 30 days later, or we can’t give one, we’ll only keep your order if you tell us to; otherwise we refund you.
- The images on this site are design renders of a watch that’s still being finalised. We’ll describe the final watch before you pay. If a significant detail changes after you order, we’ll tell you and you can cancel for a full refund.
When your order is accepted
Your order is accepted when we email you a confirmation, not when you submit it. We may decline an order, for example if a watch is no longer available or we can’t deliver to your address. If we do, we refund everything you paid.
Delivery
Watches are sent tracked and insured, and usually need a signature. The watch is your responsibility once it’s delivered. Please check your address: if a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong or the delivery was refused, we’ll refund the watch but may deduct the shipping costs. More detail is on Shipping & duties.
Returns and warranty
You can return an unworn watch within 30 days of delivery, and every watch has a two-year warranty. See Returns & warranty for how both work. These apply to watches bought through Kickstarter too.
Kickstarter pledges
If you back us on Kickstarter, your pledge is also governed by Kickstarter’s terms and our project page. Our warranty, returns and privacy policy apply to your watch once it’s delivered.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the consumer laws of the country you live in. Apart from those rights, our liability for a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t foreseeable when you ordered.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections the law of your country gives you. If something goes wrong, please email us first: most problems are quicker to fix that way.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you reserve or order is the one that applies to you.
